3D, BIM and GIS Modeling Specialist

Preparation, validation and integration of 3D, CAD, BIM, openBIM, GIS and geospatial data into the Web Digital Twin.

About the role

This person will prepare, validate and integrate 3D, CAD, BIM, openBIM, GIS and geospatial data into the WDT. The work includes 3D/4D models, georeferenced assets, IFC/BCF/COBie, maps, asset structure, geometric accuracy and support for digital twins.

The role combines technical modeling, quality control and an understanding of how models feed software, inspection, simulation, risk and operations. It is not a drafting-only role: the person needs to prepare models that are useful for digital engineering.

Main responsibilities

  • Prepare, organize and review 3D, CAD, BIM and GIS models for use in the Web Digital Twin.
  • Support ingestion, reconciliation, audit and version control of models, drawings, geometries and associated data.
  • Ensure geometric accuracy, consistency with technical drawings, property consistency and model traceability.
  • Structure assets, regions, sections, elements, georeferencing and spatial data according to project needs.
  • Collaborate with frontend, backend, engineering and QA on validation of visualization, selection, properties and 3D/4D workflows.
  • Support openBIM, IFC, BCF, COBie, BIM-GIS, 4D/5D, inspection and field-evidence workflows.
  • Document assumptions, sources, changes, limitations and model quality criteria.

Required qualifications

  • Experience with technical 3D modeling, CAD, BIM, GIS or preparation of models for engineering.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, structures, geometries and asset information.
  • Attention to geometric accuracy, quality control, versioning and documentation.
  • Familiarity with industrial, infrastructure, naval, civil, geotechnical or other complex-asset models.
  • Ability to work with software and engineering teams.
  • A portfolio or examples of models, projects, validations or technical work that can be presented.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Rhino, Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, QGIS, ArcGIS, Leapfrog or equivalent tools.
  • Knowledge of openBIM, IFC, BCF, COBie, georeferencing, InSAR or spatial data.
  • Familiarity with FEA, meshes, FEMAP, structural models, inspections and asset integrity.
  • Experience with digital twins, web 3D visualization or data preparation for digital platforms.

Related technologies and tools

Rhino, Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, QGIS, ArcGIS, IFC, BCF, COBie, GIS and equivalent CAD/BIM tools.

Profile

We are looking for a detailed, technical and collaborative person who can turn models into reliable digital assets. They should care about quality, documentation and communication with multidisciplinary teams.

How to apply

To apply, send the following materials:

How do you currently use artificial-intelligence tools in your professional workflow? Name the tools, give examples of activities, and explain how you validate the results produced with AI assistance.

Additional information may include LinkedIn, GitHub, Behance, Google Scholar, articles, publications, websites, demonstrations, applications or other links relevant to the role.

  • An up-to-date curriculum vitae with education, professional experience, main projects, technologies used and responsibilities held.
  • A portfolio with concrete examples of previous work. For software, this may be GitHub, applications, systems, APIs, interfaces or projects that can be demonstrated. For engineering, this may be models, simulations, reports, analyses, publications or technical work that can be shared. Confidential projects may be presented in anonymized form.
  • A presentation video of up to 5 minutes, briefly showing a project or portfolio, the problem solved, your contribution, the technologies used, your working workflow, everyday tools, your use of artificial intelligence and how you validate results produced with AI support.
